Born in Guatemala, a single mother adopted Gia Darling when she was two years old; at age three, she moved with her mother to Valencia, California. She socially transitioned at age 15-starting hormones and living full-time as a woman. She took as job as an office assistant and found herself drawn to performing-eventually doing a photo shoot for veteran director Roy Alexandre, who then introduced her to the filming industry. Gia has since become a well-known post-operative transgender female performer, who is viewed by many as an icon of the transsexual genre. Dubbed by some as "The Most Downloaded Transsexual on the Net," she is also one of the most prolific shemale movie directors and producers.

The Transition

At the age of 18, Gia's interest with cosmetic surgery began. She wanted to pursue the chance to look more feminine, because she didn't look at all on the outside like what she felt like on the inside; and eventually went through over 50 cosmetic surgeries and well over 100 cosmetic procedures to get the look she desired.

Career

Darling has gained a reputation as a very hard worker: as a performer, she has been credited in hundreds of titles and directed close to fifty. Some of these more praise-worthy performances include 2010's All About Gia Darling-where she shared scenes with Tom Moore, Jimbo, and Maxxx-as well as 2008's Gia Darling Will Kick Your Ass-which was directed by Gia and features herself, Mistress Berlin, and a guy in a steamy threesome scene. Despite retiring from filming in 2010, she still runs a modeling agency, works as a consultants and runs her own website.
